AirSTREAM and CrossBoard®
The CrossBoard® by WÖHNER allows a busbar system of up to 160 A to be used on the AirSTREAM wiring frame. The CrossBoard® is an out of the box busbar system that allows innovative energy distribution quickly and easily.
The CrossBoard® is available in the standard lengths 500, 700, 900 and 1100 mm and covers the standard cabinet widths and AirSTREAM frame widths.
CrossBoard® can be attached directly, easily and quickly using the special brackets, with corresponding attachment variant.

Closed, touch-protected wiring level for more user safety, even for unused free areas.
Sustainability
By replacing the mounting plate and cable ducts, the installation area for components is increased.
Thanks to the careful installation of the single wires in the rear wiring space, the cabinet appears tidy, and subsequent retrofitting can be actioned quickly and transparently. Optimum utilization of the room creates approx. 30% more space and better thermal behavior in the cabinet compared to conventional designs.
Economy
Due to the nature of the system, air circulation is better and leads to a stable climate in the control cabinet. The probability of failure and the maintenance intervals are reduced
significantly, and the energy consumption and CO2 emissions are also lowered.
Assembly CrossBoard® - Attachment in a grid or at infinitely variable positions
Variant 1: Double screw connection
Attachment in a 10 mm grid with a swiveling sliding nut. The double screw connection allows heavier loads to be attached to the modules.
Variant 2: Self-tapping screw connection
Attachment in a 10 mm hole pattern without sliding nuts.
Variant 3: Placing sliding nut
Simply placing the sliding nuts inside the sliding nut groove allows fastening at any desired position within a millimeter range. Allows for possible future readjustment.
Accessories and features
A variety of AirSTREAM accessories including wiring profiles, wire holders, AirBLADES etc., can be directly mounted on the CrossBoard®. At the customer's request, LÜTZE can produce and deliver AirSTREAM frames that have been preconfigured with one or several CrossBoard® in the standard lengths. Combs can be fitted on the CrossBoard® to guarantee a cover between the bars and the CrossBoard®.
AirSTREAM brackets
The plastic brackets create double touch protection and serve to guide the wires and cables. Two bracket types can be used depending on the installation depth in the cabinet. The low bracket has a storage capacity of approx. 35 cm², the high has approx. 65 cm².
Depending on the installation situation in the control cabinet, the frame between the frame width and bar width may vary. The bracket is connected to the bar via one of the two positions.
Wire holder
Wire holders can be simply clicked onto the rear side of the CrossBoard®.
Combs
The CrossBoard® has the same comb holder as the AirSTREAM bars, therefore all combs can be simply replaced and fitted here.
Comb cover
The gaps between the CrossBoard® and AirSTREAM bars can be closed with covers.
LÜTZE AirBLOWER
The AirBLOWER fan is an accessory for the AirSTREAM wiring frame for fast and reliable climate stabilization in the control cabinet. The use of an AirBLOWER ensures hotspots inside the control cabinet are avoided.
The AirBLOWER uses a guided air current around the AirSTREAM frame for a balanced control cabinet climate. The result is a considerable reduction of energy required for cooling. A combination of the AirBLOWER, AirSTREAM and CrossBoard® significantly boosts energy efficiency in the control cabinet. The AirBLOWER fan bench should be used in the upper third. The AirBLOWER can be mounted with the CrossBoard® power rail system. However, we recommend attaching the fan bench to an AirSTREAM bar profile for optimum weight distribution.
